The York Simcoe Titans Baseball Club is a premier youth baseball organization dedicated to fostering skill development, teamwork, and a passion for the game. Our 13U program focuses on preparing young athletes for higher levels of competition while instilling core values such as sportsmanship, discipline, and resilience.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate 13U Head Coach to lead our team for the upcoming season. If you have a strong background in baseball, a commitment to youth development, and the ability to inspire and mentor young athletes, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the 13U team’s development, including practices, games, and tournaments.
- Create and implement structured practice plans focusing on skill development, team strategy, and game preparation.
- Teach and reinforce fundamental baseball skills, including hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running.
- Foster a positive and supportive team environment that emphasizes respect, teamwork, and accountability.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to players, helping them improve individually and as a team.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and the Titans organization regarding schedules, expectations, and team progress.
- Oversee player safety, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper use of equipment.
- Represent the York Simcoe Titans Baseball Club professionally during games, tournaments, and community events.
Qualifications:
- Baseball Experience: Previous coaching experience at the youth, high school, or competitive level is required. Playing experience at the collegiate or professional level is an asset.
- Coaching Certification: NCCP or equivalent coaching certification is a definite asset.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to mentor and inspire young athletes, creating a positive and disciplined team culture.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both players and parents.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage practice schedules, game strategies, and tournament logistics efficiently.
- Commitment: Availability for practices, games, and travel to tournaments throughout the season, including evenings and weekends.
- Passion for Youth Development: A genuine dedication to helping players grow, both on and off the field.
Compensation:
This is a part-time, paid position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
